Because of the strong trust and confidence developed by the client during the IT transformation project, Infinet was subsequently awarded the long-term management of the organisation’s operations.
The challenge
A prestigious Australian architecture firm needed to overhaul its entire IT system. The legacy systems were outdated, inefficient and incapable of providing the level of integration the organisation nor performance needed as it expanded its activities. This was impacting its ability to operate internally and communicate with with client, thus compromised its day-to-day operational performance as well as profitability.
The outcome
Infinet worked closely with the client to conduct a whole of business IT audit and provided the strategic counsel and technical expertise to implement an end-to-end IT transformation, requiring a redesign of the core network, core systems and consolidate IT assets where practical. ITIL was also utilised to manage the risks associated with a major transformation project.
VMware was chosen to replace their dated Microsoft Hyper V platform and deliver a highly available virtualization platform using a mixture of HPE, Hitachi Data Systems , Brocade and Juniper Networks products. Standards were developed in line with business requirements then used to guide the business forward into 2020. The clients End of Life PBX system was replaced with our Cloud Hosted Unified Communications platform (CHUC) and core internet was upgraded from 20mbit to 400mbit for 50% less then the client was currently paying each month, enabling it to effectively tap into external cloud resource pools as well as increased their internet speeds by 40 x!
Because of the strong trust and confidence developed by the client during the IT transformation project, Infinet was subsequently awarded the long-term management of the organisation’s operations.
