Re-Building a Framework from the Ground Up
16.02.17
How one not-for-profit organisation was able to invest in scalable technology that would support their growing enterprise.
The challenge
An independent animal welfare charity with state level branches and 26 remote sites, was constructing a new facility for its Brisbane office. The charity required a full-suite of IT systems, including networking, security, communication and connectivity solutions to support its expanding operations and allow seamless interaction with its multiple remote sites.
As construction was already underway, Infinet needed to work within a short time-frame to coordinate the technical infrastructure with the builders and suppliers.
The outcome
Infinet was tasked with designing and implementing a complete IT infrastructure, from the ground-up, to support the charity as it continued to grow and develop. To ensure that the right technology and systems were selected, our team worked closely with the charity to develop an overall strategic IT roadmap. We then created a dedicated project team to manage all aspects of the large-scale and complex project.
Infinet took complete responsibility for all technical aspects of the new facility construction project, and successfully managed the roll-out of its recommended solution, utilising a blend of Cisco, Checkpoint and Motorola technologies. This resulted in an on-time, on-budget and over-performing implementation that created the most technologically advanced animal welfare facility in the southern hemisphere. Infinet was also engaged to consult on the charity’s data-centre requirements and, post-project completion, remain the charity’s IT partner of choice.
