Challenge
One of Infinet’s long-term clients, a billion-dollar international developer, was moving its Australian head office from Parramatta to North Sydney. The project involved relocating the entire rack of equipment running its ICT back-end systems within an extremely short time-frame that was predetermined by the client.
Outcome
Infinet worked collaboratively with all key stakeholders to align operational functions in order to ensure business as usual was achieved throughout the relocation process. This included managing communications with employees and contractors, providing strategic advice to senior executives, and working alongside builders and electrical suppliers to give operational direction for the implementation of all hardware.
To adhere to the unusually short-time frame of the project, a comprehensive strategy including contingency and risk management planning, was developed. This provided the client with a 360 view of all operational and organisational changes and gave them peace of mind that Infinet were always on task and on time. The project was successfully completed within the required timeframe and delivered a smooth transition for the client and its employees, with minimal disruption and down time.
