The challenge
One of Australia’s leading fintechs to small businesses had experienced exponential growth. Consequently, the organisation was relocating to larger premises, but with only three weeks to the move, the project hit a significant road block. The client’s incumbent IT supplier was struggling to manage, critical timelines has been missed and the entire relocation was in severe jeopardy. At this stage, the incumbent supplier themselves recommended that Infinet should be brought in to rescue the project.
The outcome
With only three weeks to go before the move, Infinet worked swiftly to understand the problems the previous supplier faced. We then worked diligently to determine an expedited solution that would ensure a successful relocation, procure all IT assets, implement a new security system, and maintain current systems whilst developing new scalable long-term solutions.
Our team worked closely with senior management to communicate revised project priorities and time frames, assumed responsibility for co-ordinating with two carriers and Sydney City Council to implement required infrastructure and worked alongside the fit-out company, electricians, contractors, and telco providers to ensure deadlines were made. Critically, Infinet renegotiated a five-month lead time for fibre works to just three months and devised an interim internet solution.
Infinet’s delivery of an expert solution for the new premises within the challenging time frame resulted in our team being re-hired to manage a further relocation 12 months later, as well as the long-term transfer of key responsibilities from the incumbent IT supplier.
